Description
The park boundary wall at Oxburgh Hall, which includes a tower and gateway, is likely of late-Medieval origin with significant early 19th-century remodelling. It is constructed of brick, featuring some stone and moulded brick dressings. The wall has a chamfered plinth and crenellations topped with moulded brick copings. The square tower has a late-Medieval quatrefoil window positioned at mid height, along with 19th-century moulded brick arched corbel tables and a stepped crenellated parapet. The gateway features brick piers with raised stone angles and stone cornices, topped with a pair of carved finials that represent the Bedingfeld eagle. The gateway is completed with contemporary iron gates.
