Description
Lucree is a house dating from the late 16th century and later. It features a timber frame on a brick plinth with rendered clay infill and has a pantiled roof. The building has a through passage plan, which may have originally included an open hall. It stands two storeys tall with a central door. To the left of the door is a three-light transomed casement window from the late 17th century, while a small casement window is to the right. There are also two leaded casements under the eaves, one of which has been re-glazed. The house has a gabled roof with an internal gable stack. There are 18th-century gabled extensions on both the east and west sides. The rear of the house features three casements on each floor, dating from the late 17th or early 18th century. Inside, the complete timber frame is visible. The fireplace was reduced in the late 17th century, and cupboards were added on either side, retaining butterfly hinges on the doors. A staircase is located by the stack.
