Description
Grove Farm is a farmhouse that dates from the 16th to 17th century, with later alterations. It features a rendered timber frame and a brick facade, topped with pantile roofs. The building has a double-pile plan and stands two storeys high with attics. The 18th-century facade is symmetrical with three bays and includes a canted two-storey porch with a flat roof. The front door is panelled, and there are two 18th-century three-light mullion and transom windows on the ground floor, which have metal casements set beneath skewback arches with cambered soffits. Above, there are two three-light windows and one two-light window. Additionally, one 18th-century two-light mullion and transom window remains in the northwest gable-end. A massive stack with six octagonal shafts rises from between the two piles of the building.
