Description
The entrance gates and piers located about 50 metres northwest of Hill House were designed in 1907 by Edgar Wood and J.H. Sellers. The structure features brick piers with stone bases and caps, which have rebated corners and hollow moulded angles. The original name of the house, 'Dalny Veed', is inscribed below the stone coping. Quadrant stone-coped brick walls extend forward to the lower outer piers, which are similarly moulded. The gates are made of timber, panelled with ironwork in the upper open sections, and feature scrolled ironwork above leading to a central spearhead.
