Description

This is a terrace of four houses, originally five (numbers 28 and 30 were combined), dating from the mid-18th century. The houses are constructed of chequered red brick with a continuous floor band. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and the gable ends are brick-coped and have internal chimney stacks. The terrace is two storeys high with attics. The windows are mostly mid-19th century glazing bar casements; the ground-floor window at number 26 retains an original 18th-century frame. Similar frames are found on the doors of numbers 26 and 28. The north gable end features two horizontal bands. The ground floor windows have segmental heads. This demonstrates group value from the period.
