Description
29 to 39 High Street is a building from the 18th century with a red brick front and a tiled roof featuring three gabled dormers and a wooden cornice with modillions. It has two storeys and attics. The shop fronts at Nos 29 and 31 are from the 19th century, showcasing slim Doric pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice, while Nos 33 to 39 have modern shop fronts. The first floor includes six sash windows, with a canted oriel bay on the right and a central four-light window with wooden mullions. The earlier main structure is timber framed, with plaster facing on the side and back elevations, and the first floor at the back overhangs. Nos 29 to 67 (odd) and No 45A are part of a group.
