Description

The Cornwell Monument, located about 10 meters south of the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, is a chest tomb commemorating W. Cornwell, who died in 1832, and his wife, who died in 1827. The monument is constructed of ashlar and features a moulded plinth and capping. It has clustered shafts at the corners and raised fielded panelled sides with inscriptions on the longer sides. The capping includes a raised and separately moulded ridge.
