Description

Hexton Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 18th century and was renovated in the early 19th century. It is constructed of chalk clunch faced with stucco that is lined to resemble ashlar. The building features parallel hipped slate roofs with projecting eaves and a wooden cornice with blocks, along with white brick chimneys.

This large, two-storey house has a double-pile plan and is three windows wide, facing east. It is set back from the street and has a near-symmetrical east front. The first floor has two recessed sash windows with eight panes and a triple sash window with small panes flanking the entrance, which is offset to the left of centre. The entrance features a six-panel half-glazed flush-beaded door set in a simple surround with corner blocks, leading up to two steps. There is a gabled tiled hood supported on posts above the door.

The symmetrical south garden front has three windows on each floor, with recessed sash windows of eight panes, and includes two French windows.
