Description
The walls to walled gardens date to the late 18th century or early 19th century, with later 19th-century heightening. Constructed of red brick with black headers in a chequered pattern in the lower part, and Flemish bond above, they enclose two adjoining large rectangular gardens located to the southwest of the main house. The walls are generally about 4 metres high, but increase to about 7 metres high along the western side, where they are prominent features within the Conservation Area.
