Description

The Jackson Monument, located about 30 meters east of the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, is a memorial urn on a pedestal dedicated to A. Jackson, who died in 1813. The monument is constructed of ashlar and features a square pedestal that stands approximately 2 meters high. It has a stepped cyma moulded plinth and cornice, with fielded panelled faces that include an inscription facing the church. There are three steps leading up to the draped urn. The monument was formerly enclosed, but the railings have since been removed.
