Description
The churchyard wall and iron gates at the Church of St Mary Magdalene date from the 18th century. The wall is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a moulded brick coping. It stands approximately 2.5 meters high along the street, tapering down to about 1 meter at the south end. The simple wrought iron gates, adorned with blacksmith's ornamentation, are hung from square piers topped with stone caps. These gates are linked by a straightforward iron overthrow that supports a central lantern. This structure is included for its group value.
