Description
Willian Bury is a late 18th century or early 19th century country house located on Willian Church Road. The building is two storeys high and features a main east front with three bays, including a slightly projecting central bay that has a pediment. The roof is hipped and covered with Welsh slate, complemented by a moulded eaves cornice and 19th century stacks. The exterior is constructed of red, chequered brick with a plain band at the first floor level. The recessed sash windows, which have glazing bars, are topped with gauged flat brick arches. The east front includes a three-window bowed bay on the ground floor, finished with plain stone coping. The main entrance is located on the north side and features a wooden Greek Doric portico 'in antis', with a segmental arched brick relieving arch above. The doorway is architraved and has double half-glazed doors. At the rear, on the west side, there is a kitchen range that encloses a central courtyard.
