Description
Elm Trees is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is a small one and a half storey building with a thatched roof and plastered timber framing, sitting on an old red brick plinth that has been rendered over. The building likely had a non-domestic origin. It features a central stack from the 18th century and an inserted floor with exposed joists, originally serving as two houses but now functioning as one. The front has two small modern casement windows on the ground floor, one at each end, with an attic window beneath the thatched half-hip. There are modern extensions to the rear that are not of special interest. An old iron dump is located next to the house on the south side.
