Description

This is a stable located 30 metres east-south-east of Lower Farm, dating from the 17th or 18th century. The stable is single storey and has three bays, positioned at the northeast corner of the yard and facing south. It features a very steeply pitched gabled roof that is currently covered in corrugated iron. The structure has a timber frame set on a high red brick base, with the rear wall externally plastered and a weatherboard apron. Jowled posts support a clasped purlin roof. Inside, a manger and some hayracks are still present. This stable is part of a group of buildings associated with Lower Farm.
