Description
This is a 17th-century barn located at the end of a range of outbuildings, 20 metres south-southeast of The Angel inn in Little Hadham-on-Ash. The barn features a three-bay timber frame that is weatherboarded and faces south. It has a steeply pitched gabled roof covered in corrugated iron. There is a later central extension to the north, built in a similar style, which creates a T-shaped plan. Inside, there are curved braces supporting the tie beams, and the roof has clasped purlins with long curved wind braces. The barn is historically associated with The Angel, which was a former inn.
