Farmhouse At Bozen Green Farm (Along Track 1750 Metres From Pelham Road)

This is a farmhouse at Bozen Green Farm, dating from the late 17th century, with extensions added in the early 19th century and around 1980. The structure is timber-framed and plastered, topped with a steep old red tile roof. Originally, it was a two-storey house with an attic, designed with two cells and a lobby entry, facing southeast. The eastern room served as the hall, while the western room was an unheated parlour. A rear lean-to outshut for a service room and stair was rebuilt around 1980. In the early 19th century, a chimney was added to heat the parlour, along with an extension at the west end of the house and the outshut. A gabled rear wing was constructed around 1980.

The house features three windows on each floor, with the entrance located under a hipped tiled porch between the first and second windows from the east. The upper floor has narrow three-light casement windows, while the ground floor has two-light casements of the same width. Inside, there is an axial beam in the hall that is chamfered with stops, and a wide open fireplace. The upper floor includes a 17th-century brick fireplace with a four-centred head and chamfered jambs. The roof has clasped purlins with high-set purlins and jowled posts. The axial floor beam at the eastern end has an ogee and bar stop. A three-light mullioned window is exposed in the former western gable, now blocked by the 19th-century extension.
