Description

The Crown Public House is a late 16th-century building located at 839 High Street. The front has been modern refaced with stucco, while the left side features a half hipped gable with exposed magpie timber framing. The roof is covered with Welsh slate. The building stands two storeys tall, with the first floor oversailing. There are five flush sash windows with glazing bars. On the left side of the ground floor, there is a canted sash bay window, and a carriageway is situated on the right. The adjacent properties, Nos 137 to 147 (odd), form a group with this public house.
