Description

Boxwell House is a late 17th century or early 18th century building with a symmetrical design and a steep central pediment. The structure features cement rendered brickwork and a hipped roof covered with Welsh slates, which was formerly tiled. It is two storeys high and has quoins. The central projecting bay includes a doorway flanked by Roman Ionic attached columns, with an entablature that has a pulvinated frieze and a modillioned pediment above. The windows are arranged in a 1:2:1 pattern, featuring sashes with glazing bars set in architrave surrounds and bracketed sills. Modillions are present on the roof cornice and the pediment. The back elevation has been significantly altered.
