Description

51 and 53 High Street are buildings dating from the 17th century or earlier, with alterations. The east gable features exposed timber framework. Number 51 is primarily covered in stucco and has a symmetrical front with two gables, a central flat-headed 19th-century doorway, and two-storey canted bay windows on either side. Number 53 has recently been restored, revealing its timber framework on the first floor with red brick nogging. It includes casement windows with glazing bars and an oriel canted bay window. Both buildings have steeply pitched tiled roofs.
