Description

The Wotton Monument, located 35 meters east of All Saints Church in Kings Langley, is a Grade II listed structure dating from 1802. It commemorates Richard Emmerton Wotton, a surgeon. The monument is made of white freestone and features a large tomb chest design. It has reeded corner uprights, a moulded base, and reeding along the edge of the slab. Each face of the tomb chest is adorned with panels that have concave quadrant corners, with the primary inscription found on the north face.
