Description
Grange Farmhouse, formerly known as The Grange, is a Grade II listed building that dates from the late 16th century. This timber-framed and plastered structure has two storeys and attics. The windows are mostly modern casements. On the west side, there is a three-storey gabled staircase wing, with both the upper storey and the gable jettied on moulded bressummers. The roof is tiled and features a notable original chimney stack on the west side, which has blue brick diapering and a large sunk plastered panel with a moulded sill and a corbelled head adorned with six trefoiled arches, although the shafts have been rebuilt. On the east side, there are two gabled dormers.
