Description
Great Brockholds is a mid-16th century timber-framed and plastered building with an L-shaped plan, featuring wings to the north-east and north-west. The building has undergone some alterations in the 18th century, including replastering around 1777, and has been renovated. It stands two storeys high with attics, and the upper storey jetties out on the north-east side of the north-west wing. The building has casement windows, with some original leaded casements still present. The roof is tiled, half hipped on the north-east wing and half hipped with a small gable on the south-west side. An original chimney stack with four attached diagonal shafts is also a notable feature.
