Description
Quendon Court is a red brick house built around 1750. It is the third house known to have been constructed on this site, following a 15th-century house called White House, which replaced a medieval house named Batilles. The building has two storeys, attics, and cellars. At the south end of the west front, there is a 19th-century wing that projects out and features a parapet with a modillion cornice and a curvilinear gable. The house has a five:two window arrangement of double-hung sashes with glazing bars set in plain reveals. A central eight-panel door, accessed by steps with iron railings, is framed by a doorcase with coursed pilasters, an ornamental frieze, and an open dentilled pediment. The roof is tiled and includes three flat-headed dormers on the main block, along with a small casement window in the gable of the wing. Inside, there are some original fireplaces.
