Description

The Norden is a 17th century timber-framed and plastered house located on the west side of Cambridge Road in Quendon and Rickling. It features a cross wing at the south end and a later extension to the east at the north end. The building has two storeyed wings and a central block that is one storey with attics. The windows are casement style and date from the 20th century. The roofs of the south wing and the central block are tiled, with the south wing having a hipped roof, while the north wing is thatched. The central block includes two gabled dormer windows and an original central chimney stack with three diagonal shafts.
