Description
This is an early 15th-century house located on the east side of Newbiggen Street, Thaxted. It is a small timber-framed building, now plastered, with a red plain tile roof. The house has one storey and attics. Originally, it had two windows; one is a three-light double-hung sash window with glazing bars, and the other is a casement window with brackets supporting a pentice board. There are two gabled dormers in the roof. A central chimney stack was constructed in the 18th century, using red brick. Internally, much of the original timber framing remains.
