Description
The Axe and Compasses Inn is a timber-framed building constructed around 1700, which was later refronted in red brick during the 18th century or early 19th century. It has one storey and attics, featuring two small ground floor bay windows with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. The roof is thatched and has end chimney stacks along with two dormers. To the west, there is a 19th-century addition that has a slate roof.
