Description

The Old Forge is an early 18th century timber-framed and weather-boarded house located in Arkesden. It stands two storeys high and features a mix of leaded casements and double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The roof is thatched and has one central chimney stack and one end chimney stack. Adjoining the house on the south-east side is an old outbuilding, likely from the 18th century, which was originally a stable block. This outbuilding is also timber-framed and plastered, with a thatched roof and an old stable door.
