Description

Two houses, number 3 and 5 Radwinter Road, were likely built in the early 19th century, possibly incorporating an 18th-century core. They are timber-framed with a white brick facing, painted on the right side, with rendered gables and a rear wall. The roof is half-hipped and gambrel-shaped, covered with plain tiles, some of which have been replaced with red concrete tiles. Two ridge stacks are visible at the top of the roof. A lean-to structure extends from the rear.

The houses have three bays and two storeys, plus an attic. The ground floor features a row of three round-arched sash windows with finely gauged brick arches. The upper sashes have radial glazing and Gothic detailing; the lower sash on the left side has been replaced with a casement window. Two six-panel doors are situated under similar round arches. There are three flat, leaded dormers in the attic, with a timber casement in the centre and more modern windows elsewhere. Small four-pane casement windows are located on the rear wall. Number 5 has a modern porch added to its right gable wall, and a 20th-century extension to the left.
