Description
The Rectory, built around 1600, has undergone significant alterations, particularly in the 18th and 19th centuries. It features a red brick front with two storeys and attics, displaying a one:three:one window arrangement of double-hung sashes with glazing bars set in shallow reveals. The central block, which projects forward from the east and west wings, contains three windows, while each wing has one window and is topped with a parapet and cornice. The central block has a hipped slate roof, while the wings have tiled hipped roofs behind the parapets, each with one hipped dormer. The east wing is notable for a large chimney stack with offsets, part of which is original and was formerly external. Inside, there is a 17th-century panelled room featuring a carved fireplace and overmantle.
