Description
The stables to the south of Stansted Hall are a late 19th-century range of red brick buildings arranged in an L-shaped plan, with wings extending to the south and east. The east front of the south wing features a central Dutch gable. The structure is one storey high with attics and includes casement windows. The roofs are covered with Westmorland slate, laid in diminishing courses up to the ridge. Notably, the south wing has a central timber open cupola, while the east wing is topped with an ogee leaded dome that includes a finial.
