Description

Briars and the adjoining cottage to the northwest is a large 17th century timber-framed and rendered house that has been divided into two units. The building is two storeys high and features a gabled grey peg tile roof. A prominent central chimney stack made of red brick is located at the center, and there is a modern gabled porch at the entrance. The windows are 19th century casements with glazing bars. At the rear, there are later extensions with peg tiled roofs, and one half of the building has been finished in pebble-dash.
