Description
No. 7 Park Lane is a small house dating from the 17th century, with a 20th-century addition. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure, topped with a peg-tiled roof and a red brick chimney. The house has a rectangular plan and is one and a half storeys high.
The north elevation has two windows and an additional doorway at the eastern end. Both the doorway and windows are covered by small weathering hoods. The windows have moulded frames, including one 2-light casement with glazing bars arranged in a 4x3 pane configuration, and another window formed from two similar windows with a broad dividing stile. The boarded door, which has moulding beneath the paintwork, may date back to the 17th century. There are also two gabled dormers, each with peg tiles and a 2-light casement window featuring 2x2 panes. A central stack is positioned behind the roof ridge.
On the eastern end elevation, there is a shallow peg-tiled lean-to at ground level, which appears to be a remnant of a larger building, with visible post and wall plate. This lean-to includes a central 20th-century 2-light casement window. At the rear, there is a lean-to addition with a catslide roof that connects to the house and features a 20th-century 2-light casement window. Additionally, there is a further 20th-century flat-roofed addition to the south. The rear elevation prominently displays a large 20th-century flat-roofed dormer window, which includes two single-light casement windows and one central 3-light casement window. The house may have an older core.
