Description
Bury Lodge Hotel is a timber-framed house that dates from the 16th to 17th century. It was faced in red brick during the 18th century, with a 19th-century block added to the west end. The building has two storeys. The earlier wing features mainly 20th-century casement windows, while the early to mid-19th-century block at the west end includes corner pilasters. The west front has three window ranges, and there is one window range at both the north and south ends, featuring double-hung sashes with glazing bars in plain reveals. A central doorway is topped by a portico with panelled pillars. The roofs are tiled. Inside the original wing, there are exposed timber-framing, ceiling beams, and joists.
