Description
Mill Cottage is an 18th-century timber-framed building with plaster infill. The ground storey is faced with brick. The roof is tiled, with old tiles, and hipped at the south end. It has two storeys and a two-window front, featuring casement windows with glazing bars. A central doorway is sheltered by a tiled hood supported on brackets. A raised brick band runs across the front of the building, between the two storeys. A brick stack is located at the north end. A later 19th-century addition made of flint and brick extends to the south and has a pantiled roof. The original building was reputedly The Old Toll House, which operated until the latter part of the 18th century.
