Description

This barn, located 70 metres east of Brick House, dates from the 17th to 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboard, topped with a half hipped red plain tile roof. The barn features five bays, jowled storey posts, and a central midstrey with a hipped roof and two additional bays. The roof is built using queen strut construction, with straight braces supporting the side purlins and arched braces connecting to the tie beams. The top plates are joined with a bladed scarf, and there is through side bracing.
