Description

Graunt Courts is a house dating to the late 16th century with additions made in the early 17th century. It is a building of a complex plan, with gables on all wings, and has been reconditioned and restored, featuring some exposed timber framing internally. The house has a plain red tile roof. The external structure is timber framed and plastered, with 20th-century pargetting applied to the walls.

The main range has a central crosswing and a 2:1:2 window arrangement. A six-panel door with a moulded frieze and flat canopy is located centrally, adjoining the crosswing to the right. A wing projects forward to the right of the main range, with a forward crosswing attached, displaying a 1:1 window range. The forward crosswing also has an attic window. The windows are small paned sliding sashes, some with sidelights. Four red brick chimney stacks are present. All gables are decorated with barge boards. Some late 16th or early 17th century wall paintings are visible internally.
