Description
Frenches Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th century or earlier, featuring two storeys and a cellar. It has a plain red tiled roof with an outshot at the rear. The structure is timber framed and plastered, with three 20th-century casement windows. There is a 20th-century door located on the right wall and two red brick chimney stacks. Inside, you will find an oak tread and riser newel staircase, chamfered beams throughout, and an original mullion window still in place. The building also has jowled posts supporting the tie beams and some 18th-century doors. Notably, it incorporates the remains of an open hall.
