Description

Wayside is a 17th century or earlier cottage located in Cutlers Green, Thaxted. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a thatched roof. It has one storey and attics, featuring a three-window range with modern leaded casements and two gabled dormers. At the rear, there is a gabled extension with a red plain tile roof. The cottage also has a thatched gabled porch and a red brick chimney stack from the 17th century, which has been partially rebuilt. The exterior includes modern pargetting.
