Description

This is an early 14th-century house, originally built as an aisled hall with a gabled cross-wing at the south end. The hall was significantly rebuilt in the late 16th century. The house is timber-framed and plastered, with a red plain tile half-hipped roof. It has one storey and attics, featuring a four-window range of modern casement windows. A modern gabled porch has been added, along with a modern lean-to at the rear. The 16th-century roof projects over the cross-wing, which is jettied to the rear. A late 16th-century red brick chimney stack is present. Inside the cross-wing, the original timber framing remains exposed.
