Description

Wood Farmhouse, likely dating from the early 16th century or earlier, is a house with two gabled crosswings. It is timber-framed and has been plastered, with a red plain tile roof. The house is two storeys high and has a four-window front. The windows are a mix of 19th-century diamond pane casements, 19th-century plain casements, one 17th-century iron casement, and one modern casement. Two 17th-century gabled dormers are also present. The front door is from the 18th century, consisting of six panels with a simple moulded canopy and architraves. A 16th-century red brick chimney stack features diagonal shafts. A significant portion of the original timber frame remains, along with some 17th-century panelling.
