Description
This is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered farmhouse that underwent significant alterations and additions in the 18th and 19th centuries. The front facade was re-faced in the 18th or early 19th century using red brick, and it features a parapet with balustraded panels above each window range and a wooden cornice with paired modillions. The house is two storeys high with attics. It has a four-window front, featuring double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, with the ground-floor windows being tripartite. Three window ranges are set within segmental arched recesses, ornamented with wooden keystones and stone imposts. A substantial 18th-century timber-framed and plastered wing extends to the rear, characterised by a tiled mansard roof. An original chimney stack is present, featuring grouped diagonal shafts rising from a square base.
