Description
This horse trough, located approximately 10 meters south of the lych gate to the Church of St Andrew, was built in 1909. It is made of granite and has a long rectangular shape with rounded ends and a chamfered soffit. The trough is supported by two stone blocks and features half-cylindrical granite bollards on the side facing the carriageway. The south-east end of the trough is inscribed with 'MISS LEO THOMAS 1909', while the south-west face bears the inscription 'Metropolitan DRINKING FOUNTAIN AND CATTLE TROUGH ASSOCIATION'.
