Description
The Heybridge Inn is a public house dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of rendered brick and features a slate roof that is hipped at the southeast end, with three small chimneys.
The building is two storeys high and has a four-window range. On the first floor, there is a canted bay window with a 12-pane window on the front face, a moulded cornice, and metal brackets supporting the soffit. There is also a blind window recess, with a 16-pane recessed sash window on either side. The ground floor includes an iron-bar ventilator, a low boarded door with an exposed lintel, and a canted bay with a 16-pane sash window on the front face, supported by metal brackets. The door has a semicircular head and is accessed by two steps, alongside another 16-pane sash window. The exterior displays some old patterned plaster.
Inside, the storage area at the southeast end has a lower ceiling, while the first floor features a taller room.
