Description

No 14 on Sheering Drive, known as Newhall, is a house dating from the 15th or 16th century with a complex plan. It is timber-framed and plastered, standing two storeys high. The roof is ridged, gabled, and covered with peg tiles. At the west end, there is a red brick chimney stack from around 1590, featuring crowsteps and one octagonal shaft alongside a hexagonally sectioned shaft. The house has various casement windows and includes a two-storey semi-hexagonal bay window on the north-east side. There is a modern porch on the north side.
