Description
The granary located approximately 25 metres south of Bilsdens Farmhouse dates from the 16th or 17th century. It is a two-storey structure with an attic, constructed from timber framing and weatherboarding, with a bricked-in base. The roof is covered with red plain tiles and features side purlin construction, halved and bladed scarf joints, and jowled storey posts. On the first floor, there are five original grain bins. Additionally, the right bay was boarded off in the late 19th or early 20th century to create a cheese room, and the walls in this area remain close boarded.
