Description

1-4 Riverview is an early 19th-century building originally constructed as additional office accommodation for the Royal Gunpowder Factory during its period of expansion related to the Napoleonic Wars. The building is of stock brick construction with a Welsh slate roof and a mansard incorporating two box casement dormers. It is two storeys and attics in height, featuring a first-floor band and parapet. Five sash windows are set in reveals with flat arches. Drawings relating to the building are held within the Public Record Office. The building is listed partly for its historical interest.
