Description

No. 23 Highbridge Street is a building dating from 1767, located on the south side of the street. It is constructed of stock brick and features a parapet. The building stands three storeys tall and has cornice bands. There are two slightly projecting bays located at the left centre and right of the façade, with a configuration of 1:1:3:1 sash windows set in reveals beneath flat arches. The first floor has recessed windows with arched panels and glazing bars. The ground floor includes a 19th-century shop front with Doric pilasters, although the main windows have been altered to plate glass. The panelled stall risers still display diagonal beading and paterae in the centres of the panels. Additionally, there is a carriageway on the left side of the building.
