Description
The New Inn Public House is a public house dating from the mid-16th century, with extensive alterations made in the 19th century. It features a timber frame and plastered exterior, with some parts clad in brick, and is topped with red plain tile roofs. The building has two storeys and a T-shaped plan, which includes a small gabled crosswing at the south end. There is a four-window range with three-light casements. The doorway is framed by a stucco surround with pilasters. To the south, there is a single-storey extension with a grey slate roof and a semi-hexagonal bay window that has early 19th-century vertical sliding sashes, glazed in margins. The building also has red brick chimney stacks.
