Description

The Dower House is a house dating from the 17th century, with red brick cladding added around 1700. It is timber framed and has a red plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and attics, featuring an L-shaped plan. The front has a stone coped parapet, which is decorated with flared headers. There are four early 18th century vertical sliding sash windows with glazing bars and exposed boxes. The entrance includes a panelled door set in a reeded case, adorned with concentric indents and topped with a flat hood supported by brackets. The house has a band and a moulded cornice, along with red brick chimney stacks. A late 19th century rear wing is also part of the structure. Additionally, there is a dwarf front wall with railings.
