Description

Goodwin's Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1800, designed in a plan of three contiguous rectangles with the main unit facing south. The building is constructed of painted brick and features pilasters of giant order along with moulded brick strings at the first floor and eaves. On the first storey, there are five windows with modern sashes. The central entrance on the ground floor has a pedimented doorcase, with a door that has six deeply fielded panels and a large clear glazed window on each side. The roof is hipped and slated, with wide eaves, and there are two red brick chimney stacks on the ridge between the hips. Additionally, there are 19th-century ranges of outbuildings made of red brick, slate, and tile.
